Transfer volume ownership

You can transfer storage volumes from one project (tenant) to another. Transfers require that a recipient with appropriate rights exists in the target project, and for the recipient to accept the transfer.

Step 1. Create the transfer

1. In the source project, go to Storage > Volumes to display the Volumes console.
2. Select the volume you want to transfer from the list of project volumes.
3. Select More > Create Transfer.
4. Provide a name for the transfer record.
5. Select OK.
6. A transfer record text file is downloaded to your local machine containing the authorization key and transfer ID.

Step 2. Accept the transfer

1. In the cloud console, go to the target project, and then to Storage > Volumes > Accept Volume Transfer.
2. Provide the Transfer ID and the Auth Key.
3. Select OK to accept the transfer.

Cancel transfer

The originator of the transfer can cancel it at any time before the transfer is accepted.

1. In the source project, go to Storage > Volumes to display the Volumes console.
2. Select the volume you want to cancel from the list of project volumes.
3. Select More > Cancel Transfer.
4. Select OK.
